Just curious with the Fields debate. Has there ever been a QB mid-way through their 3rd year or later with so much uncertainty develop into a reliable starting QB? Alex Smith comes to mind but obviously wasn’t good enough to keep his position.

Good one. And a good example of how much of an impact it makes when coaches are competent enough to know how to use their talent. How many players have we squandered over the years from bad coaches?

Brian Flores practically campaigned against Tua. It seemed Tua was his scapegoat. Am I misremembering? I raise this because a little bit of me feared that either the GM who didn't pick him or the coaching staff that inherited him, would be prepared to blame the QB for the sake of keeping their own jobs.
