Turning on ATV 4K resumes playing whatever app was open at original volume...not good for nighttime (alien.top)

Is there any way to disable this and have the main menu be the first thing when turning on the Apple TV 4K (gen 3)?

Normally it's not a problem, but at night time I can't have Youtube TV or Hulu automatically start playing the last thing I was watching at fairly high volume.

I couldn't find a setting to change this.

You can also hit the tv button to go back home prior to powering down
