Hey there - I'm in Germany for at least another month and I broke my iPhone. It was dropped and now has a black screen and a few fun vertical lines.

I'm considering just buying a new phone from Apple Germany. Are there any problems or things I need to consider? What should I know?

My current phone has a physical SIM. I could consider getting the screen fixed but I did this once already in Germany and the screen constantly malfunctioned with the "ghost screen" effect. Which is another reason why I'm considering replacing it all together.

Why should I know? Thanks!

As long as you buy an unlocked phone (without making a contract), you'll be fine using it in the US with phyiscal or eSIM of your choice. The bands might be slightly different, but they will still work, you won't notice.
