Probably overreacting. Pretty sure the entire homeschooling curriculum for Sex Ed in Alabama is just: "Don't. - God"

No but, telling kids masturbation will send them to hell is seriously fucked up. It distressed the hell out of me as a kid. As if God wouldn't want us to have a healthy relationship with sex (which God would have created!!) or something.
