I still have the second gen se, but I’d like to upgrade to a flagship, either the 15 or the 15 pro (not the plus or max as they are too large for my liking). I mainly am attracted to the USB C in the new iPhone. I was wondering if others could share their thoughts on these two models and what they would recommend as an upgrade.

The iPhone 15 is good enough for most people's needs, the 15 Plus if you need the bigger screen.

The Pro and the Pro Max are at the top of the tree but if you don't require the 'pro' features then you'd just be spending the extra money unnecessarily just to show off and throw the word 'pro' around when talking about your phone to others...
