I can see a book like this working for a setting where food actually mattered in it and in some ways had story significance (Elder Scrolls, Final Fantasy, some others) but this ain't it, Master Chief.
Also the pictures just look like :reddit-logo: meme food. Which kind of fits for Halo's general fandom and all its boot worship and cryptofascist apologia.
There was a Game of Thrones cookbook that at least had medieval style food.
GRRM's focus makes that cookbook work as a concept. I don't even like GRRM's work but I concede that anyway.
