Crash detection works and it'll alert that you've been in a serious car crash. It'll start a countdown and you could stop it if you are fine. Otherwise it calls 911 and then it will alert your emergency contact.
I don't shower with mine on!
As for fall detection, if you're under the age of 60 (I think?) you might have to turn it on? Not entirely sure. Not sure if like you're riding your bike, skateboarding, something like that and does it consider that a crash or a fall?

I have had the heart rate alert go off recently where it knew "This isn't my normal heart rate." I didn't know if it kept escalating and starts looking like a heart attack that also alerts 911. That's good to know too!
