Is the series 9 worth it for someone who doesn’t have a smart watch? (alien.top)

I am looking to get an Apple Watch and I can’t decide whether or not to get the series 8 (or lower) vs the 9. The older series are much cheaper but the series 9 with the finger tap looks super cool, and I like that it’s much brighter. I was wondering what this sub would think.

I know I’ll use it a lot regardless of which version I get. The series 9 features are just tempting to me.

I have the series 7 and neither the series 8 wasn’t worth it (I don’t have a vagina) nor was the series 9 (I’m not in need of finger tap accessible) .

You can get a used series 7 (fast charge/ bigger screen) and wait to see what series X has to offer

I will say the same thing about the series 6, which is what I have. The 7 and 8 had the exact same chip just renamed, other than a bigger screen I have no reason to upgrade. The 9 finally has a new chip, but nothing else (unless you count gesture controls which is already a thing in settings prior to the 9). I’m waiting for one of 2 things to happen before upgrading. Either the 6 stops getting software support, or we get new sensors (especially glucose sensors, as I’m a diabetic).
