Adolf Hitler was a Christian specifically Roman Catholic; he and the Vatican (half of the First Reich) wished to combine all denominations back into one this was going to be called German Catholic (midwest.social)

While he was raised catholic, his religious views later in life are disputed and debated. He also routinely approved persecution of the catholic church
