Is the series 9 worth it for someone who doesn’t have a smart watch? (alien.top)

I am looking to get an Apple Watch and I can’t decide whether or not to get the series 8 (or lower) vs the 9. The older series are much cheaper but the series 9 with the finger tap looks super cool, and I like that it’s much brighter. I was wondering what this sub would think.

I know I’ll use it a lot regardless of which version I get. The series 9 features are just tempting to me.

I bought my S6 a few months back and I'm super happy, but I already knew it mostly use the tracking functions and time. I don't know what I'd use a double tap for, but if you think you really need it then go for it I guess, but older apple watches are just fine too tbh.
