Interesting. The sausage flavour of the mcmuff is really hard to replicate, however, several years ago I found a butcher that offered “breakfast sausage” (whatever that means.) It tasted exactly like the McDonald stuff.

Have not been able to locate any since. It’s a very specific flavour that eludes me to this day.

Your version looks great though and making me hungry.

It is hard to replicate and these are the closest I have found that takes the least effort. Saying that I haven't had a mcmuffin for years now so I'm not sure how far off I am.
