If the west wasn't just a bunch of oligarchies masquerading as democracies — 3M, and all past decision makers responsible for PFAS, would be financially liable for their cleanup to safe levels; for however long that takes, and however much that costs.

Instead, our corporate whore governments throw their hands in the air and act as though nothing could possibly be done to prevent or resolve this.

I am now an old retiree and I can only hope that our children and grandchildren are not going to piss on our graves in "gratitude." I have been in the streets demonstrating against these excesses for more than 50 years, where the disaster we face with pollution was already known. Today I can only ask for more hands that I lack for a proper facepalm due to the stupidity of our rulers, faithful spokespersons for large companies and lobbies. I think I'll ask for an engraving of a raised middle finger on my slab when I die.
