Trading the #33 and ~#35 pick when you're not even close to contending makes no sense.

The highest upside move would have been Poles drafting talented rookies at #33 and #35 who become quality starters on rookie contracts.

I think he's 5-20 and he's starting to feel some pressure to get some wins. This feels like a panicked move. He doesn't trust his own ability to draft and develop talent.
