Any body else have this happen? Shut down the watch only to have it start on its own without any prompt from start button or battery charge.

Yes, mine does that too. When I shut down the watch completely, I get the time in white digits about 30 seconds later. No watch faces, no complications, only the time in white digits.

I thought it was a feature to have the time when the watch is turned off

The watch completely turns back on in my case.
