Im currently using a Google pixel 6 pro, the phones fine and all but im personally not that fond of the video quality and the sub par processer.

Considering going to a 15 pro max or a 14 pro max. I am planning on waiting till the s24 but honestly the video quality and optimization with apps generally of andriods isnt great.

The only thing i think i will be missing out on in my daily use will be some sideloaded modded apps. Any suggestions on my part? (Ps i love telephotos)

Switching from a Google Pixel 6 Pro to an iPhone 15 Pro Max or iPhone 14 Pro Max can offer you a significantly different smartphone experience. iPhones are well-known for their robust video quality and seamless integration with various apps. If video quality and app optimization are essential to you, the iPhone is a strong choice.

It's understandable that you may miss some sideloaded modded apps as iOS has more restricted access for app installations. However, iPhones provide a vast and secure App Store with a wide range of apps, often covering the functionalities offered by sideloaded apps on Android.

The iPhone 15 Pro Max or 14 Pro Max, both known for their excellent camera systems, should satisfy your desire for good telephoto capabilities. Consider your priorities and how much you value the iPhone's superior video quality, app ecosystem, and camera performance when making your decision. It might be a worthwhile transition if these aspects align with your preferences.
