I received my new phone yesterday but with all the bad press and problems I’m thinking of just returning it. I haven’t even opened the box. What would you do?

Bad press is just publicity. The attention around the Pro family has increased greatly and sales are very high. Very few real problems compared to the pieces sold. Furthermore, if you bought it from Apple you have 14 days to return it if you don't like it.
