Why did you buy a MacBook? (alien.top)

I’m just curious if it’s because there was a particular app or a workflow that motivated you to get a MacBook? Or just the Apple ecosystem?

Genuinely just curious.

I’ve been using Windows, Linux, and Android systems, and started to use ipad pro for my coursework (lecture notes and my research stuff). I love gadgets, and for like 30 years I couldn’t believe that I’ve not owned a single macbook. Of course, high price and the fact that, gaming laptop + linux seemed way better for the price.

Anyways, after completing my mandatory military service, I just decided to give it a try - ipad pro (2nd gen) was really good. So I decided to swap to Apple completely (except the watch) to check out Apple devices. I bought my first iPhone and got myself my first ever macbook - M1 max in December 2021 and I really love it. (Yeah, apple silicon was a real big jump in terms of performance!) (but I can’t say the same about iphones though - wasn’t that happy with it :/)

I just wish there was better gaming support though. Although not relevant to this sub, I do not know why macbooks are not supported for genshin impact. I really should complain to Mihoyo. Harder.
