Have you looked at or tried the satechi Bluetooth keyboard? It’s made for mac, has usb c, and backlight with adjustable brightness. I got one a few years ago and love it. Cheaper than apple too!

Most Mac users here are zealots and want to go all in on Apple. There's people who genuinely love the magic mouse and you won't be able to change their mind despite so many better third party alternatives existing

I've been using a first gen Magic Mouse for 13 years without issues. Sucks about batteries but it still works great. Comfortable too.
