Basically it's just supposed to "sell again": not having you to avoid to re-buy the re-master, re-make, re-VR and... whatever Bethesda is doing with Skyrim nowadays

For whatever Kojima might not have been perfect with, everything Konami has done since he left has been an open "fuck you" to the fans of his games. Survive was a fucking joke.

Survive might have been an interesting game if it wasnt a Metal Gear title. I would have liked it more, actually.

The problem, beyond calling it Metal Gear, was that it handled exactly like Metal Gear.

MGS5 is a fantastic stealth action engine. It is not made for whatever the hell Survive was. If Kojima (or someone else) had spent time iterating on the engine to adjust the mechanics for the style of game, I feel confident the underlying engine is a reasonable base for it. But they pretty clearly just slapped it together.

I think it controlled fine and the gameplay was okay. A bit unrefined, but it wasn't terrible.

IMO, the terrible part was the atrocious story and lazy over reuse of assets made for MGSV.
