Oliver Tambo, born on this day in 1917, was a South African anti-apartheid politician and revolutionary who served as President of the African National Congress (ANC) from 1967 to 1991.
In 1943, Tambo, along with Nelson Mandela and Walter Sisulu, founded the ANC Youth League, with Tambo becoming its first National Secretary and a member of the National Executive in 1948. The Youth League proposed a change in the tactics of the anti-apartheid movement, advocating boycotts, civil disobedience, strikes, and non-collaboration.
In 1960, Tambo fled South Africa due to political persecution, living in exile in north London for thirty years. From London, he supported and helped organize the ANC in the fight against apartheid from a distance. On December 13th, 1990, Tambo returned to South Africa and was elected National Chairperson of the ANC.

I started a new run on FTL with the zoltan b since if i beat the flagship i would get the mantis ship.
Zoltan b is more fun than zoltan a, the double ion weapons are way better at dealing with 1 shield ships than the leto from A and it can actually deal with 2 shield ships.
I got a rockmen from a dlaver and made him the captain, it took me until the end of sector 2 to get 1 shield because i thought it was like the stealth ship where you have to buy it from a store.
I had a lot of scrap in sector 3 so i got a slug and i saved a mantis so i decided to get both a transporter and a mind control to board ships, its pretty strong so far. If i win i unlock 2 ships (mantis a and zoltan c) so im going to try to play smart and dont try to suicide trying to get another ship(unless its crystal maybe)
Dont forget to get a real weapon
i think im fine for now, i have the starting beam, a flak 1, heavy laser 1 and one of the emp weapons, im going to try to find something with more power like a halbert beam or more flak but i think im ok for now
