It becomes more comprehensible when you know that the image predates the thread by a few years, so the first person was talking about the meme.

Now I'm just confused about the image.
EDIT: Reading the rest of the thread helped. It's one of those memes evolved off of other memes, one of those degeneration cycles of memes.
