The king of Jordan poured cold water on German Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s hopes that neighboring Arab countries could take in Palestinian refugees who are fleeing the Gaza Strip ahead of an anticipated ground offensive by the Israeli army.

The rebuff by King Abdullah II was made Tuesday morning at a press conference with Scholz following a meeting in the chancellery in Berlin, which Scholz also used to issue a warning to Iran and to Hezbollah against intervening in the Israel-Hamas conflict.

“I think I can speak here on behalf of Jordan … but also our friends in Egypt: This is a red line … no refugees to Jordan and also no refugees to Egypt,” King Abdullah said at the press conference.

Israel is hunting down Palestinians wherever they may be.

lol. lmao even.

Yep, it's well known that Israel has been routinely bombing the West Bank and conducting land operations to kill every Palestinian there they can find. Israel also frequently sends in the IDF into Jordan to murder the two million registered Palestinian refugees there. Oh, wait. That isn't true at all.

I'm not going to pretend that this isn't an enormously messy situation, but ignoring the fact the Jordan does have two million Palestinian refugees that arrived in the 20th century and thus your premise is already completely wrong, you know as well as I do that Israel is not attempting to "hunt down Palestinians wherever they may be". Considering the population within Gaza and the West Bank has grown by 2.2 million since the year 2000, they've clearly not been doing a very good job.
