Charlie from Always Sunny unfortunately could never catch Light, while his idiot savant nature and general good luck would cause him to stumble into the perfect solution, the rest of the gang would completely fuck it up for him either accidentally or out of spite and he would fumble the climactic parlor scene.
or he'd get the death note, but couldn't read any of the rules and just end up more confused
