Summer nights are warmer than winter day despite having more light.

Except they don't have more light over a 24 hour period.

Besides, I hardly think there's a Greek myth that explains that.

I think metaphor and similes are great for explanation and understanding things (including novel things) but you've picked some examples a lot of people are going to get stuck on.

I think, aside from summer having more time between sunrise and sunset, it effectively has "denser" light due to the angle of exposure.

Yep, the number of photons hitting the ground per second is higher (the photon flux density) which is why solar panels generate less power in winter even at noon.
