How long until they start impressing poor kids into the army? I'm guessing they'll start with foster kids, then incarcerated ones, then random Black kids out past curfew.

Impressment, also called crimping, enforcement of military or naval service on able-bodied but unwilling men through crude and violent methods.

Judges will just go back to offering a suspended sentence if they sign up. Of course that's just the military industrial complex cannibalizing the prison industrial complex. Do you want soldiers or slaves?
