Legit question: why does meme text lately look like it was made with word art from MS Office 1995?

I think it's just because it fits it perfectly. It's outdated and a bit nostalgic but there was also zero acceptable use for it back in the day. You'd see it on random posters or stuff in school and just roll your eyes. Outside of that it was worthless. But now in the age of memes they have finally found their purpose in conveying the ludicrousness of a situation.

That's my take anyway.
