Hey it actually is though. Pearl Harbor was allowed to happen to bring the US into a conflict it wanted to be a part of but didn't really have a good reason for. Israel wants to say those mean Palestinians are bloodthirsty animals and treats them as such then acts shocked when people brought to the brink lash out and use that as an excuse for incredible violence with little to no repercussions internationally because "they're just defending themselves"

idk it seemed like the settlers were actually surprised, if so"allowed to happen" wouldn't fit as nicely.

how surprised was the command? they were busy being racist and worried about sabotage from japanese-americans but if peal harbor was "allowed to happen" that implies a bush "could've done something about it but didn't" whereas israel expects liberatory violence regularly but not at this scale or on that day.
