Yo I kinda hate the use of Israel Kamakawiwoʻole as a substitute icon for the apartheid state of Israel, given that israel-cool used his music to identify the US State of Hawaii as an apartheid state against the native Hawaiian population.

I thought the whole joke was that the emoji is called israel-cool and he was a cool guy called Israel.

It's not a good fit for the apartheid ethnostate, though.

Yes, the point is that we don't want an actual :israel-cool: emote because we dont want an emote of the star of david on fire, even if it's only on their shitty flag. but we want an :israel-cool: emote to use in situations like these, so we've got an emote of the only cool israel as a stand-in
