This person also famously wrote "Stop! Hibari-kun!" in the 80s, a manga about a trans girl who falls for a boy. Hibari was written as a cross-dressing character but the trans experience is hard to miss. I may be a cissy but this has me wondering: is Hisachi Eguchi trans?

I generally don't speculate about the gender identity of other people in public, so i'm not gonna make any claims as the whether this person is trans, that's a matter of self-identification amd not for me to decide. I'm just saying that anybody who feels that way should probably experiment with their gender a bit, there's a lot of ways to do that in private without outing yourself to anybody, especially nowadays when it's so easy to order clothes and cosmetics online or to just make a new account somewhere and see how a certain set of pronouns feels.
