I mean, you are correct. But I don’t see much hatred directed at the Russian people in general. Some occasional frustration that they can’t do more to depose him, but I don’t know how brave I’d be, Faced with the FSB

It's true, but I also think it's very easy to forget to separate the two (leadership & people) when you are considering events, and that's how long-term stereotypes form. So, I think it's a good idea to actively keep it in mind at times like this :)
