Care to explain?

As in if the forest is a circle of radius ๐‘Ÿ, the dog can never be farther from the edge than ๐‘Ÿ? (Other shapes would work similarly if ๐‘Ÿ=๐‘‘/2 where ๐‘‘ is the length of a secant)
