The principle is pretty much the same, regardless. Create a pavlovian association between the senses through controlled and continuous exposure.
I want to see music like kandinsky. how do I make that happen?

sound-to-color synesthesia? My hope is it's probably doable using a VR music visualizer. It's far from done, but since I'm tone deaf, I was playing around in unity with a fast Fourier transform microphone script tied to a haptic vest. Lower notes vibrate down in the gut, higher notes towards the head. The plan is to tie into an external chakra visualization for the colors.
