I've got a bit confused on how these comunities work. With you needing to register in specific comunity. I'm not sure if I'm able to see all posts, or if I'm just seeing stuff from comunity that I joined in. Also because I was confused with the comunity system here, I accidentaly cursed myself to being a furry for no reason, and everyone will know that. Grrrreat.
Lol. Nothing stopping you from signing up on a different server, but I say embrace it :)
Communities will be pulled into your instance fully once at least 1 person subscribes to it.

If only ONE user from pawb.social follows !some_community@lemmy.ml, then the entire community and all new messages will be sent to pawb.social.
So, unless your instance have a very low amount of user or the community you’re looking for has a very low amount of followers, every mid-sized community will soon be synced on all mid-sized lemmy server.

That’s a lot of message duplication and it will have some growing pains for the lemmy admins, but at least exploration shouldn’t be too hard.
