A champion of gun control and a trailblazer for women in federal politics, Dianne Feinstein served as senator representing California since 1992. Her death comes after a series of health crises that called Feinstein's ability to carry out her duties into question, with some members of the Democratic Party having called for her to step down.

George Moscone and Harvey Milk were shot by Black Panthers? That explains why the White Panthers tried to get her recalled. It was probably out of solidarity with their Black sister organization.
