This guy, who is a prominent US senator, thinks that hoarding cash and gold in his house would insulate him from the risk of it being seized when he could easily just open up a Swiss bank account to ensure that his wealth exists beyond the reach of a potential revolution.

If there was a revolution tomorrow you'd expect that all the mansions belonging to filthy rich high-level politicians would be seized along with all the wealth inside of them.

This story absolutely doesn't make sense outside of some PR-brained "play the victim of communism card and lean in hard to the new red scare era narratives" nonsense.
