Marvels of the Advanced Fascist weaponry.

Liberals so adamant on financing these weapons for fascists while this much money should be spent on improving their own financial conditions and quality of life.

[–] bandarawan@lemmygrad.ml 2 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Yepp. I fucking hate it how we created 100 billion for the military out of thin air, but do not have money for housing, feeding the poor and education.

[–] knfrmity@lemmygrad.ml 8 points 2 years ago

We can't do this because of the poor Bundeshaushalt, we can't have that because the Bundeshaushalt must be balanced, but then it comes to the Bundeswehr and the US imperial managers and the whole rainbow of factions make blue skies rain.

Of course the german nazis send 14 tanks to their fellow nazis. They went mask-off fascist, their colonialism is in shambles, they will be crushed again.

[–] Shrike502@lemmygrad.ml 1 points 2 years ago

Allegedly it was 14 Leopards-2 and 88 Leopards-1. Yeah

Remind me again, how much did Putin's palace cost?

[–] GrainEater@lemmygrad.ml 0 points 2 years ago (1 children)

houses are generally significantly less expensive than tanks, but in this particular case you'll have to do the research yourself -- feel free to share your findings so we can all be aware of how many parts per million of the annual Russian budget was spent on Putin's house

[–] TWeaK@lemm.ee 0 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Houses, sure. But we're talking about a mansion the size of a small town where they threw out all the marble they'd already isntalled because it was the wrong colour.

[–] yearningforfreedom@lemmygrad.ml 0 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Sounds like some Radio Free Europe shit

[–] TWeaK@lemm.ee -1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I don't even get your reference.

What you're saying sounds like pure shit.

[–] m532@lemmygrad.ml 0 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Radio free europe is indeed pure shit. It's a propaganda outlet of usa with the goal of subjugating all europeans

[–] juchebot88@lemmygrad.ml 1 points 2 years ago

That awkward moment when fascists realize that we tankies are more pro-European than they are

[–] GrainEater@lemmygrad.ml 0 points 2 years ago (1 children)

What is your source for that claim? That sounds rather cartoonish

[–] TWeaK@lemm.ee 0 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Have you heard of Alexei Navalny?

[–] CannotSleep420@lemmygrad.ml 4 points 2 years ago

He's the Juan Guaido of Russia.

In what way are Dutch and Danish taxpayers being forced to fund said palace? The point of sicaniv's screenshot seems to me to be that western taxpayers are being given no choice but to fund a war they aren't involved in, after 10–40 years of austerity and being told the state can't afford basic services, suddenly there's a bottomless well of cash for tanks.

[–] TWeaK@lemm.ee 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

What choice do Russians have in either paying for Putin's palace or dying with outdated equipment?

Suffice it to say, both sides claim they have no money for public services yet suddenly can finance war. The whole war industry is a scam, this has been obvious for more than 100 years now.

[–] redtea@lemmygrad.ml 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I also dislike the military-industrial complex. But that seems to be a different point to the one you made at first. Making it seem as though Russia is at war so that Putin can build a palace doesn't seem accurate.

Russia is not at war to glorify Putin. Although, his estimation does seem to be rising in the eyes of the global south because he is fighting the imperialists who have long oppressed them.

Again, the point you replied to seemed to be talking about indebting Dutch and Danish taxpayers to pay for a war they're not part of. Russia is at war, so it would make sense that Russians will be taxed to pay for it. I agree that this is tragic. Much better for that money to be spent on public services.

But in response to your reply: in general, Russians have very little choice because Russia was forced into a corner by NATO. I'm not sure what you mean by outdated equipment. Outdated by whose standards?

That was not in any way the point I made. I merely called out Putin's squandering of public funds (for his own personal interest) to contrast against western squandering of public funds.

Russia is not at war to glorify Putin.

It's in Putin's political benefit:

Although, his estimation does seem to be rising in the eyes of the global south

As you have described.

Again, the point you replied to seemed to be talking about indebting Dutch and Danish taxpayers to pay for a war they're not part of. Russia is at war, so it would make sense that Russians will be taxed

Russia is only at war because Russia started a war. A war that the Russian people had no say - hell, they had no idea - in starting.

But in response to your reply: in general, Russians have very little choice because Russia was forced into a corner by NATO.

This is a false narrative. Russia did not have to start a war. There is no excuse here.

I'm not sure what you mean by outdated equipment. Outdated by whose standards?

Outdated by Russian standards. I think anyone would consider WW2 weapons and expired rations to be outdated.

I always forget history started in February 2022

[–] StugStig@lemmygrad.ml 0 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Remind me again why were Russians forced to adopt a system were business elites could use their capital to exert political power.

That wasn't public money.

[–] TWeaK@lemm.ee 0 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Erm, Putin made it law in the late 90s that 50% of the wealthiest Russian oligarch's wealth would be under his control. It was their money, they kept the profits, but Putin directed their spending.

Now, Russian oligarchs invest in political enterprise all over the world, more than almost any other nation (excluding the USA, which is simply wealthier).

[–] TarkovSurvivor@lemmygrad.ml 1 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

Which law was that? The one you made up or the one from up your ass?

[–] GrainEater@lemmygrad.ml 1 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

Please share your sources for both of these claims, especially the latter; I would be very surprised if the Russian bourgeoisie had more overseas capital than imperialist countries like Canada, the UK and France

[–] TWeaK@lemm.ee 0 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Wasn't it the Nazis who hoarded public wealth for their own benefit?

[–] juchebot88@lemmygrad.ml 1 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) (1 children)

Something which has never been known to happen in the modern west, specifically in the United States or Ukraine. Nope, not ever.

[–] Navaryn@lemmygrad.ml 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

don't you know that Ukraine is actually a libsoc utopia?

[–] juchebot88@lemmygrad.ml 1 points 2 years ago

That would certainly explain all the sex trafficking
