Agreed. "Gay bar owned by raging CHUD who recognized that creating a space catering to a marginalized population would rake in money" is a pretty common trope.
So much of conservative values is just fetishizing naughty things and making them rare enough to be exclusive and exciting for them because they want to hoard the naughty thing for themselves.
