Den Welttakt gibt es schon. Dafür ist das Internationale Büro für Maß und Gewicht mit Sitz in Sèvres (einem Vorort von Paris) zuständig. Aus Daten von rund 500 Atomuhren rund um den Globus ermittelt diese Institution eine Weltzeit, die den Takt für alle Zeitzonen angibt.
