Geography is the study of places and the relationships between people and their environments. Geographers explore both the physical properties of Earth’s surface and the human societies spread across it. They also examine how human culture interacts with the natural environment and the way that locations and places can have an impact on people. It was access to one of your most incredible natural resources and methods of transportation, and that's simply a non starter. Water is know if not the most critical resource we have accessible to us. People congregate near it for very good reason, and that's never going to change.
Yes, and those resources are absolutely critical again, for both maintenance during floods and for making sure people have water through droughts. They will never go away and they will always be required.
