She's coming for them all.
In this wicked series from Mike Flanagan (The Haunting of Hill House) and based on the works of Edgar Allan Poe, ruthless siblings Roderick and Madeline Usher have built Fortunato Pharmaceuticals into an empire of wealth, privilege and power. But past secrets come to light when the heirs to the Usher dynasty start dying at the hands of a mysterious woman from their youth.

I was so excited earlier this year when I heard Flanagan was doing a tv adaptation of the Poe story, but this trailer frankly feels like a complete bait and switch.

Why bother calling it "The Fall of the House of Usher" if you're just going to write something completely original with almost no relation to the short story? Have some backbone and stand behind your original idea, don't hide behind the title of someone else's work.

I know I'll probably get downvoted for this rant but UGH! This bugs me. This probably will be a good show, but I'm already soured by the bait and switch.

Isn't this largely what he's done for all of his adaptations?

I haven't read the book, but I got the impression it was the same with haunting of hill house.

I'm still incredibly excited for this, but secretly I want something like HoHH. I've enjoyed his other Netflix shows, but that's still my fave.

Yeah I read the book after finishing the series, and there was pretty much nothing in common between the book and the series, except for the house.
