No, nothing about that crap is "logical".
They are both the same cruise missile with a different paint-job, originally co-developed by a british and a french company and for quite some time only produced by a single multi-national company.
If anyone believes that production for either the british or french missile is completely done "in-house" instead of sourcing exactly the same components from exactly the same suppliers, I have a bridge to sell you...

Yeah, but the french ones just feel much nicer, it's a more refined explosion and not that plebeian bang of the British ones.
Please tell me the French also have their own more refined made-up backwards acronym for the warhead to compete with "BROACH"...
