TIL that a small islet called South Talpatti was disputed between India and Bangladesh until 2010, when it was submerged due to rising sea levels caused by global warming, settling the dispute. (www.smh.com.au)

Apparently it used to be 2500sq km based on US satellite. 1970 it emerged after a cyclone, 1974 US got the satellite measurement, 1985 it disappeared after a cyclone and 1989 to 1990 it was gone.
