They don't realize how much creative work happens in the process of implementation either, because like you said they don't work.
So Mr. Idea Guy has the idea for X, and now the rest of the team does all the actual intellectual labor involved in making it real.
Like Facebook. Starts out with "there should be a website that you can rate girls on" and in the process of implementation, ~~the REST architecture is born~~ GraphQL and React we're born.
Idea: Total garbage
Implementation: One of the more important things in modern web architecture (depending on how you structure your project, we used React for a while until Lemmy switched).
