We'll see if @Manibusan@fanaticus.social chimes in, but as an outsider, it seems to me like bringing in Riley isn't going to fix things right away. He doesn't have the weapons he had at TCU and I think Dabo's resistance to using the portal is in no small part to blame.

Clemson also had a run of generational QBs that probably masked problems under the surface (similar to how Colt McCoy masked serious internal problems at Texas and then we fell off a cliff when he was gone)

This is probably the biggest factor. We’ve lost a lot of players to the portal but have not brought in anyone other than a couple of depth QB’s.

Clemson also had a run of generational QBs that probably masked problems under the surface.

Our offense has not looked confident since Trevor Lawrence left. They are either totally anemic or make some big plays immediately followed by turnovers. This plagued our offense with DJ at the helm and now Cade. I still have hope that Riley will turn around it around in the end, but it may take longer than I anticipated.
