The two lawyers were representing professor Kham Khan Suan Hausing, who is alleged to have made derogatory statements about the Meitei community, in an interview to journalist Karan Thapar, for 'The Wire'. The lawyers have withdrawn the case.

Only in a democratic country with functioning law & order, can we expect the police, admin, and the courts to take cognizace and act quickly to secure lawyers & plaintiffs from mobs.

But this is Manipur, a failed state, in India, a dictatorship. The police, admin, and courts will wake up when the govt tells them to, till then & even then the mob will rule.
