I bought particleboard furniture from a German company ten years ago. One of the planks weighed more than an entire new IKEA book cupboard.

IKEA quality has gone down hill significantly.

It used to be cheap but relatively good quality.

Now it's often (but not always) overpriced low quality stuff.
