Andrei Kolesnikov, Senior Fellow, Carnegie Russia Eurasia Center, writes about the ideological foundation of the Putin regime, the most important part of which is the destruction of the memory of the Soviet regime’s crimes and the transformation of Stalin into a positive figure.

It is amazing for what trivial and obvious answers people of today need researchers.

Will the same researchers tell us in a decade or two that Trump and the GOP were just following in Hitlers and NSDAP's footsteps in 2020ff?
