It's even worse when you're a part of a minority landlords deem undesirable (i.e. an immigrant) and cannot find housing at all. A coworker who is an immigrant had to pay someone a thousand euros just so they'd recommend him for an apartment so he would've go homeless. Another immigrant coworker has been looking for a year because the place he rents is getting demolished and he still has nothing. ๐ข
