While I wouldn't be against that, the DNC will find some way to stop him from being able to gain any chance.
He shouldn't run, there's no precedent for it, Biden is the incumbent, and that's who should run.
It's not about the "DNC" finding some way to stop him, it's about why should we overturn years of precedent for Newsome?
Misgivings aside about age or whatever else about Biden, he's the party leader, and without the support of the party he would look weaker not just to the voting populace but also the world, it would seriously undermine any of Biden's future endeavors once elected. Biden's administration hasn't been perfect but it's definitely earned a shot in the general election, and I look forward to voting for Newsome in 2028 barring him doing any dumb shit.
