This is from an article of various things that happened on this date throughout history so the cosmonette part is barely a footnote. It's a bit of a weirdly written article at times. Very focussed on the US, which I guess is relevant given the context but comes across strangely combative and defensive considering it's supposed to be marking an achievement. Good to see that achievement get some press, I must admit I never knew the name of the first woman in space, which is pretty bad.
